What the Authority decided

• the Former Agent’s repeated failures to act in accordance with his clients’ instructions, and to provide accurate and timely immigration advice, demonstrate a disregard for his clients’ interests and their dependence on his knowledge and experience.
• the Former Agent deliberately misled his client on the lodgement process and on the progress of the visa application/s in order to conceal from the client the deficiencies in his working knowledge of migration legislation and procedure and his failure to exercise due diligence in rendering the services for which he was engaged
• the Former Agent retained payment without rendering the agreed services
• the Former Agent’s conduct has the potential to tarnish the reputation of the migration advice profession, and would be viewed by other registered migration agents within the profession as unacceptable

What a bar means if this was your agent

A bar is made under section 311A of the Migration Act and applies to a সাবেক registered agent — এমন একজন যার নিবন্ধন আগেই শেষ হয়ে গিয়েছিল, তাই বাতিল করার মতো আর কিছুই বাকি ছিল না। Authority তাদের সর্বোচ্চ পাঁচ বছর পর্যন্ত আবার নিবন্ধিত হতে বাধা দিতে পারে।

1. Find out where your application actually is. If you have an ImmiAccount, log in. The clock does not stop because your representation did.

6. Only then, find someone else. A new agent needs the file and the dates. The first five steps are what make that first conversation useful instead of exploratory.

What this decision does not mean
