What the Authority decided

On 4 January 2018, the Authority decided to cancel the registration of migration agent Mr Ravinder Singh (MARN 0962169). As a result of an investigation into one complaint, the Authority found that the Agent had employed the complainant in breach of her visa conditions, resulting in the cancellation of her visa. The Authority also found that the Agent had been the subject of two separate investigations by the Department and the Fair Work Ombudsman in relation to serious contraventions of his obligations as an approved business sponsor and employer, and had provided false information in two concurrent applications for repeat registration as a migration agent. As such, the Authority was satisfied that the Agent was not a person of integrity, or otherwise not a fit and proper person to give immigration assistance, and poses a serious risk to consumers.

What this decision does not mean
