仕組み

From "I have no idea what this costs" to a signed agreement

Six steps. The order is not ours - most of it is set by the Code of Conduct that binds every registered migration agent in Australia.

1

You describe the case

A guided form, about ten minutes. It asks what an agent would ask on a first call: which visa you think you need (or that you are not sure), who is applying, whether you are in Australia, your nationality and current visa, your timeframe, and roughly what you expected to spend.

You can start without an account and create one at the end. Nothing is published until you submit.

2

Verified agents see the case, not you

Your case appears to agents who work on that visa type. They see the facts. They do not see your name, email or phone number, and they cannot until you choose one of them. If a message tries to slip a phone number or WhatsApp handle through beforehand, it is masked automatically.

This is not just a platform rule. Section 35 of the Code makes an agent responsible for your personal information, and the fewer people holding it before you have chosen, the better.

3

Quotes arrive in a fixed shape

Every quote must state a fixed fee, or an hourly rate with an estimate of hours - the Code (s46) allows nothing else - and must state it including GST. Separately, it must itemise disbursements: the visa application charge, skills assessment, medicals, police checks, translations.

That separation is the entire point. An agent's fee of $2,200 next to another's $3,500 tells you almost nothing until you know whether the $11,710 partner visa charge is in the first number. Here it always is, or it is visibly absent.

4

You compare and choose

Quotes sit side by side, ranked by what you will actually pay. You can message any of them with questions first. Accepting a quote costs nothing and starts nothing: it opens an engagement and declines the others.

5

The paperwork happens in the right order

This is where most of the horror stories start, so the platform simply refuses to do it wrong:

  • You are given the consumer guide and confirm you have read it (s38).
  • The agent issues a written service agreement covering the work, the fee, the disbursements and what happens to your file (s42). VisaBid drafts it from the quote so it cannot contradict what you were promised.
  • Both of you sign it.
  • Only then can the agent ask you for money (s51). Not before. There is no button that would let them.
6

Money is paid in stages, directly to your agent

Each stage is invoiced itemised before it is charged and receipted after it is paid (s49). お客様は担当者に直接お支払いになります。VisaBid がお客様の資金を預かることはありません — we are not a bank, not an escrow and not a trust account, and nothing you pay for immigration work passes through us.

What the platform does is keep the record: the signed agreement, every itemised invoice, every receipt, and the dates each stage was agreed and marked done. If something later goes wrong, that trail is what a complaint, a chargeback or a tribunal actually runs on — and it is the thing most people do not have.

What VisaBid is not

We are a marketplace. We do not give immigration assistance, we do not review your documents, and we have no view on whether your application should succeed. Everything on the other side of a quote is between you and a registered professional who carries their own obligations and their own insurance. If we ever appear to be advising you, we have made a mistake - please 私たちに知らせてください.
